Other NotesThe dance was historically always referred to in Abram as the Morris Dance.

Maud Karpeles collected the dance in 1932 and published an article in that year’s Journal of EFDSS entitled “The Abram Morris Dance”. However, the section containing the notation for the dance was headed "Abram Circle Dance" and this name became the norm.
