Adding New Tunes
A tune can only be added in association with a dance. To add a tune for a
dance, got to the
Dances page, find the dance and
show its details, then click the 'Add Tune' button.
The Gwilym Davies Cotswold Morris Tune Tune Database
As part of his M. Phil.
thesis on the History of Cotswold Morris Tunes (Newcastle, 2022) Gwilym
Davies compiled a database of collected tunes, and assigned a specific
number (the Davies number) for all variants of the same tune, whether or
not the tunes had the same name. Clicking on Davies Tune Collection will
show his original database. The Davies number will also be shown for many
Cotswold tunes in the main Morris Dance Database.
